How to Apply

Application Process

Applying for the Skyrise Greenery Incentive Scheme (SGIS) involves two stages:

1. Application

2. Reimbursement

Stage 1: Application

After submitting your details, our Skyrise Greenery Manager will contact you to guide you on the process, including the submission of relevant application forms and supporting documents. You are required to submit your application before any site work begins.

NParks will assess your proposed project based on its merits and contribution to climate, ecological and social resilience.

If approved, NParks will issue a letter of offer valid for 12 months, during which the project should be completed, with extension allowed upon request. Installation works may only begin after receiving letter of offer.

Documents Required for SGIS Application

Prepare the following documents for your SGIS application

• Completed Application Form - Application form will be provided after NParks confirms that the site is eligible for SGIS

• Completed SGIS application checklist

• Proposed rooftop/vertical greenery plan

• Details of proposed rooftop/vertical greenery system

• Photos of proposed site

• Proposed plant species

• Document showing estimated cost of Rooftop/Vertical Greenery (e.g., Quotation from contractor)

• Details of irrigation and drainage if applicable

Alteration

NParks’ prior approval should be sought for any changes to the submitted plant species or rooftop/vertical greenery plan as deviation from the approved plan may affect SGIS approval and subsequent reimbursement.

Stage 2: Reimbursement

Once the installation is completed, please contact your Skyrise Greenery Manager to begin the reimbursement process. NParks will arrange a site inspection to ensure that 80% greenery coverage of the proposed plan has been achieved.

Documents Required for Reimbursement for Rooftop/Vertical Greenery

Prepare the following documents to support your reimbursement request:

• Completed Reimbursement Form – Reimbursement form will be provided by NParks

• As-built drawing of the rooftop/vertical greenery with dimensions

• Details of installed rooftop/vertical greenery system

• Photos of completed rooftop/vertical greenery

• Planting plan indicating plant species

• Documentary proof of installation cost

• Proof of payment for installation of the Rooftop/Vertical Greenery

• Screen capture of applicant’s Vendors@Gov profile – Grant will be paid to the bank account that is registered to the applicant’s Vendors@Gov profile.

• Letter of undertaking to maintain the Rooftop/Vertical Greenery for the Holding Period of a minimum of 5 years

After Reimbursement

You will receive a reimbursement letter once the reimbursement is approved. Please be reminded that the rooftop/vertical greenery must be maintained for a period of 5 years after completion as part of the undertaking period, failing which NParks reserve the right to recover the funds. Please seek NParks approval prior to implementing any changes to the rooftop/vertical greenery that will result in a reduction in the Total Green Area during the undertaking period.
